Financial compensation by delay due to circumstances beyond your control
|
Full-time students who have gotten study delays in 2021-2022, due to circumstances outside their control can apply for financial compensation until the 31st of January 2023. The conditions are that there have been special circumstances for the study delay, like illness, pregnancy, or disability. (Be aware: corona does not count as a circumstance beyond your control.)

Travel to a conference abroad with a Utrecht University scholarship
|
Within four weeks 75 scholarships were given out by University Utrecht.
The students who applied were able to pay their costs for attending a scientific conference abroad, with these scholarships with a maximum of 500 euros.
Due to great success, there will be a second round in January.

From November 4th till approximately halfway through January 2023, a renovation takes place in the Minnaert building. Therefore, study advisors are limited in their possibilities to offer meetings on campus. Make an appointment (online or on-campus) via: students.uu.nl > your programme > contact > study advisor

UU-researchers find methane eating bacteria in cave
|
Bacteria living on the walls of a cave in Romania use methane as their only source of food. Knowledge about the new species might contribute to the development of new techniques that reduce the concentration of methane in the atmosphere.
