Want to go on exchange in 2024-2025? Sign up before March 15 |
Students who still want to apply for exchange in 2024-2025 can still do so through March 15. They can find which spots are still available on this page. Science students can go to universitywide and science destinations. Further application instructions are also on that website.

Scholarship to continue your studies abroad |
Have you almost completed your master's degree? The 'Cultuurfonds' offers an international scholarship to continue your studies at a top university or academy. You can apply for a scholarship between February 1 and April 1. You need a good plan and references, so submit your application on time.

Put yourself forward for the Faculty Council! |
Want to gain experience in governance and policy? (Good for your CV 😉). And advise on faculty issues including our student facilities? Then put yourself up for election to the Faculty Council of Science.
Students can put themselves up for elections from 7 March until 11 April. You receive a compensation of one day per week for their work. Elections will take place from 13 to 15 May.

Potential collapse of the Atlantic Ocean Circulation strongly affects European climate |
UU researchers have successfully simulated the collapse of the large-scale ocean circulation in the Atlantic Ocean using a complex climate model, revealing severe global climate repercussions with Europe bearing the brunt. They published their findings in Science Advances.

During his inaugural lecture, Professor Hajo Reijers (Business Process) argued that a new scientific discipline is emerging: 'Process Science'. This discipline originates from the analysis of business processes but extends its focus to a much broader range of processes.

Performance and success is valued highly in our society. The downside to this focus, is that many students tend to have high standards and criticize themselves when they fail to reach these standards. In the training Self-Compassion, you learn to deal with your inner critic. Experience what happens when you stop being hard on yourself and become more productive! |

In February they are hosting two workshops: 3D printing and 3D design. On 27 February Lili's Proto Lab will be hosting a community night with a few extra valentines heart soldering kits for those who missed the session on Valentine's Day.
